Samantha Frazzetto’s Girls Night In has been one of Melton’s most effective fundraisers, supporting many women battling cancer during the past seven years.
It’s an interactive event that brings women over the age of 18 together for a night of laughter, fun and generosity.
The event has raised more than $115,000 since its first year and organisers are hoping numbers will continue to grow.
Ms Frazzetto, her mother Sharon Sacco, and cousins Rachel Sacco and Renee Agius, formed their family fundraising group in 2007.
“The money raised has gone directly to the Cancer Council in order to support and assist with cancer research and prevention,” Ms Frazzetto said.
Last year, the group raised $15,000 and this year its target is $20,000.
Women are encouraged to wear pink for the Girls’ Nights In – scheduled for Friday, November 13, from 7pm, at the Lakeside Banquet and Convention Centre, 65 Melton Highway, Taylors Lakes. Tickets cost $95, which includes a three-course meal, beer and wine.
Prizes to be won will include flights to, and accommodation in, Bali.
