Argene, Ruby, Anahita and Rihya have just been around the world, figuratively, after tasting exotic cuisine and celebrating cultural festivals last week.
Melton South Primary School grade 3 and 4 pupils marked the end of the year, and their term of ‘celebrations inquiry’ studies, with a bang.
They dressed in national costumes, set up classrooms to reflect different parts of the world, and gobbled yummy food.
Their favourite was Italy – and pizza, of course.
School teacher Rachel Costigan says the pupils “visited” France, India, the US, China and Italy, learning all about each nation’s cultural celebrations.
“We’ve been learning all about different celebrations throughout the term,” Ms Costigan says.
“The students learned about how important each celebration was for the people of the country.”
