Melton Country Club is brewing up something special for charity.
The club will be doing its bit to raise money for the Cancer Council when it hosts its annual event for Australia’s Biggest Morning Tea on May 24.
Australia’s Biggest Morning Tea, one of the Cancer Council’s most popular fundraisers, is aimed at getting friends, colleagues or community groups together over tea and treats to raise vital money for people affected by cancer.
Event organiser Naomi Tobiasson said that last year’s morning tea raised more than $3700 for the cause.
“It will be a great event this year and we hope to attract plenty of people,” Ms Tobiasson said.
“About 100 people came to last year’s morning tea and this is another opportunity for people to come on down to the Melton Country Club for an amazing morning tea.
“We think it’s very important to give back to the community and all proceeds go to the Cancer Council.”
She said donations of food, raffle prizes and money were welcome.
