Radio 88 tuned into launch

A homegrown band is making its debut on the Melton music scene with an upcoming album launch.

Radio 88, comprised of three music teachers and two teen musos, are set to launch This Is Us later this month. The title track This Is Us, has already has some success on radio stations here and overseas in Germany and Thailand.

The ensemble formed earlier this year through the music community and range in age from 38 to just 14 years.

Drummer Felipe Cornejo said the album includes a selection of 10 original tracks with rock, jazz, funk and soul influences.

The October 29 launch will be held at October 29 at The Rose of Australia in Williamstown at 1pm. Entry is $5.
