Tabcorp Park will light up for its annual charity race night on Saturday, giving a boost to local community projects.
The night will feature a number of harness races, as well as entertainment and dining, all the while raising funds for the Rotary clubs of Melton and Melton Valley.
Funds raised on the night will go to a number of Rotary projects including Combined Churches Caring Melton (Foodbank), The Gap on Graham (Melton Youth Services), Cancer Council (Melton Relay for Life), and Women’s Ovarian Foundation.
Tabcorp Park race night dining co-ordinator Nathan Horsburgh said it was shaping up as a great event for the community.
“It’s something we do every year, and it’s always really well received,” Mr Horsburgh said. “It’s good to support the local businesses and Rotary of course, so we’ll have some dining and entertainment on, some sweeps, and the Rotary guys will have some raffles and auction items.
“We’ve sold about 300 tickets so far which is consistent with past events, so I’m sure it will be another successful event.”
The event runs from 6pm on October 26 at Tabcorp Park. Bookings: 8746 0626.
