Melton South Primary School pupils celebrated National Literacy and Numeracy Week with a pyjama day, and classroom teacher Dylan Redmayne said about 350 children got into the action, which builds a bridge between reading at school and reading at home.
“It’s extremely important to build a positive culture of reading at home,” Mr Redmayne said.
“It really helps to strengthen literacy and an interest in reading.”
