A popular Bacchus Marsh park will receive accessibility upgrades as works are set to begin this month.
A new footpath with improved accessibility and upgraded car park will be constructed at Peppertree Park, with new trees to be planted to replace overgrown vegetation in the existing car park.
The Bacchus Marsh outdoor pool will also gain several new accessible car parks in addition to regular car parking.
The upgrades are part of the first stage of the Peppertree Park upgrade project, which received $360,000 in funding through the state government Local Roads and Community Infrastructure program.
The project will also include more accessible footpaths, further tree planting and refurbishment of the amphitheatre, to be completed after the car park upgrades.
During the car park works over the month of May, the entrance to the park will be closed. Residents are encouraged to park on Meikle street and access the park by crossing the bridge and entering the park alongside the outdoor pool.
