What’s your connection to Moorabool?
I have lived in Trentham for 20 years.
What are you passionate about?
I’ve always been passionate about theology, friends and community life, Meccano and model-making and gardening.
You were made a member of the Australian Order for significant service to the Anglican church and to theological education earlier this year. How did you take the news?
I was surprised and delighted, especially at the recognition of decades of back-room theological work.
You have been working in theological education for many years. What is the best part of doing what you do?
Making friends across a range of Christian traditions, exploring life and the universe and everything to make this earth more like God intends it to be.
What other hats do you wear in the community?
I am secretary of our Community Bank, and of the Trentham Men’s Shed. I am an active member of the St George’s Anglican church, the historical society and sustainability group.
What do you love about Trentham?
The soil, the heritage and now its newness.
What would you like to see improved?
The town zoning. A locally-led community plan is underway currently.
I would also like to see more discipline about water.
I want to see The Mechanics project, which aims to develop a hub with better facilities for the community, done, and more church participation of course.
