Phantom of the Marsh

Bacchus Marsh audiences will soon have the chance to see a Broadway classic on their doorstep.
The annual show from Performing Arts Headquarters for 2020 will be the classic Phantom of the Opera.
Director JohnPaul Cocking said after staging We Will Rock You and Grease in the past two years, he wanted a new challenge.
“It’s always good to keep challenging ourselves and pushing the boundaries,” Cocking said.
“It’s big and dramatic and epic, and it will be stacks of fun.
“It’s going to be a lot of work, and one of the biggest shows we’ve ever done, but I believe we’re up for the challenge.”
Cocking said there would be a bigger emphasis on singing and dancing in this year’s show compared to previous years, and he was especially interested in seeing anyone with ballet or jazz dancing training to put their hand up at the auditions.
The show will be staged in August and September. Auditions take place from February 21 to 29.
