When Jenny Howell-Clark founded the Orange Pigeon more than four years ago, she wanted to spread happiness.

The Melton-based charity grants wishes to adults with chronic, life-threatening or terminal illnesses.

So when Orange Pigeon was announced as a finalist in the Happiness Movement award, created by internet provider Vividwireless, it felt like a good fit.

Orange Pigeon is among 12 finalists in the running for a $10,000 award. The money will mean Ms Howell-Clark would be able to continue fulfilling the many and varied wishes of people who are severely ill. These can range from meet and greets with celebrities to short family holidays.

Ms Howell-Clark said she was excited that the Orange Pigeon has been nominated. Winners are expected to be announced this week.
