New stats highlight low booster shot uptake

Federal government figures have revealed Brimbank is one of the local government areas with the lowest uptake of booster shots in the state.

The figures from March 27 say that out of the eligible population in Brimbank 61.4 per cent have received their third jab.

City of Hume had the lowest booster shot rate in the state at 53.5 per cent while City of Whittlesea and Melton were at 60 per cent.

The Victorian Health Department said 65.4 per cent of Victorians aged 18 and over have had three doses of a Covid vaccine.
