Karen Davie specialises in spreading warm fuzzies around Bacchus Marsh.
Ms Davie raised more than $1000 for the palliative care unit at Bacchus Marsh and Melton Regional Hospital by raffling two handmade mohair bears – one especially made by her.
The talented crafter, who owns Teddy Bears On Main, has raised about $5000 for various community projects in the past four years, including Neighbours Place food bus and social support outfit.
“The palliative care unit is my chosen cause since they cared for my dad who passed away there in 2013,” she said.
“I’m sure palliative care will be ecstatic with this fantastic amount.
“Thank you for all the support for this cause that I raise money for nearly every year.”
