More renewed shopfronts for Melton

Melton residents are encouraged to join local businesses on Scott Street, to see recently completed shopfronts, enjoy free food from traders, listen to live music and let the kids enjoy some activities.

The council and the state government jointly funded the project through a $100,000 Neighbourhood Renewal Program grant. With this funding, council has made improvements including streetscape and public space improvements as well as infrastructure upgrades.

Last weekend, Staughton Street and Exford Road celebrated 14 new shopfronts with a similar event.

Tomorrow’s event will run from 12 till 2pm.
