Moorabool Youth Action Group (YAG) will be presenting a forum for children’s week in December, focusing on mental health and the importance of self-care and wellbeing.
The aim of the forum is to raise awareness of the struggles some young people experience managing their mental health and will help to break down the stigma around mental health and seeking support.
Local AFL legend Doug Hawkins and a Beyond Blue ambassador will be guest speakers and share their personal experiences overcoming mental health challenges and their stories of building resilience.
The forum will be held in person at Darley Civic Hub Pavilion on December 13, along with a variety of DIY projects, food and drinks and door prizes to be won.
