Author and comedian Nelly Thomas will be taking part in Melton’s 16 Days of Activism campaign with an online talk this week.
The author of books such as ‘Some Brains, ‘Some Boys’ and ‘Some Mums’ will chat with residents about how children are influenced by their parents and guardians, and how actions can impact a child.
The session will include talking about the impact parents have to influence their children through role modelling behaviour, gender stereotyping and how to remove some of the barriers to start positive and open conversations.
It will also explore ways to break down barriers to start positive and open conversations.
