Melton supermarket held up by armed robbers

Police are hunting for two armed robbers who held up a Melton supermarket earlier this year.

They were armed with crowbars and had their faces covered when they entered IGA on High Street about 9.40pm on Friday, March 31.

The attackers  stole three register trays containing cash.

Police say a third man was waiting in a dark-coloured hatchback parked at the front of the store. All three men fled the scene in the car.

Police have released closed-circuit TV images of three people they want to speak with in relation to the robbery.

The first man is described as being Caucasian in appearance, with a medium build and red beard. He was wearing a grey and black jumper, black jeans and a black cap with a white label.
