Specialist police are negotiating with a man who is refusing to come out of his house in Melton South.
A police spokeswoman said the man is believed to be alone in the property. The siege started at about 9.30am Monday.
Critical Incident Response Team members continue to negotiate with the man, at an address on Callanan Drive.
