Melton police hunt for armed robber

Armed Crime Squad detectives are appealing for information following an armed robbery at a Melton gaming venue last year.

This morning, detectives released CCTV vision of the wanted man, armed with what is believed to be a 20 to 30 centimetre knife, who jump over the counter-top of the High Street venue on Tuesday, November 27 about 3pm.

He made off with a till containing cash.

Investigators believe the man ran from the venue via Smith Street and was last seen running into McKenzie Street.

No one was injured during the incident.

The man is described as Caucasian in appearance, aged about 30 to 40 years-old with a medium build and has a tattoo on the outside of his left calf.

At the time of the incident, he was wearing a white cap inscribed with black writing, sunglasses, a bandana or similar to cover his face, a black hooded jumper, blue shorts and grey and green runners.
