A Melton woman caught travelling at speeds of 180km/h has had her vehicle impounded after she was stopped in her tracks by police early this morning.
At 2.50am, Victoria Police witnessed a Honda Civic travelling at what they believe was approximately 136km/h in a 60km/h zone in Melton West.
As the 31-year-old driver continued on to Ravenhall, it is alleged she reached a speed of 180km/h, more than double the speed limit.
Her vehicle was impounded for 30 days.
It is anticipated that the woman will be charged on summons with dangerous speeding and exceeding the speed limit.
