Small business operators will be honing their digital marketing skills thanks to an enterprise launched in Melton last week.
Western BACE’s Digital BACE Marketing Makerspace will show start-ups how and when to use 3D printing, virtual reality software, computers and cameras for marketing.
The aim is for Digital BACE to give small businesses in Melbourne’s growth corridor the inside running when it comes to digital marketing and using new technology.
Western BACE was last year given $50,000 in LaunchVic funding to create Marketing Makerspace.
Marketing Entourage and BlueChilli will be partners with Western BACE in delivering the sessions.
Western BACE chief executive Mark Corrie is hoping local businesses and manufacturers will learn a lot from the initiative.
“Western BACE is creating a community-driven business hub in Melbourne’s west where people matter,” Mr Corrie said.
“Thanks to LaunchVic and the establishment of our Digital BACE … the community can have access to digital and design software and tools, video and photography services, social impact and innovation events, as well as expertise provided through our network and support partners.”
