Melton adults invited to learn

You’re never too young, or too old, to learn.

As part of international Adult Learners’ Week celebrations, Melton’s neighbourhood houses and libraries will be opening their doors to showcase their offerings of free classes and activities.

From August 30 until September 7, people are being encouraged to celebrate the benefits of education, explore lifelong learning and reflect on how they can learn more from – and about – each other.

Melton mayor Sophie Ramsey is urging residents to take part in the activities at a neighbourhood house or library.

“From jewellery-making to gentle Zumba, Pakistani and Indian cooking demonstrations, to learning to take great photos on your mobile phone, Adult Learners’ Week is the perfect time to visit your local Neighbourhood House and library to begin your own learning journey,” Cr Ramsey said.
