A 25-year-old man has been charged over a fatal crash in Bacchus Marsh at the weekend.
The Bacchus Marsh man was the driver of a car which hit a tree while travelling east along the Avenue of Honour about 2am on Sunday.
His 22-year-old passenger, Hayden Kloppers of New Gisborne, died at the scene.
The driver has been charged with numerous offences including culpable driving, dangerously speeding and drink driving.
