Man charged over alleged Rockbank assault

Armed Crime Squad detectives have charged a man following an alleged assault in Rockbank.

The charges follow an incident on Wednesday, January 11, where police were called to reports of an altercation at a caravan park in Rockbank about 2.30pm.

Police will allege the man shot at a 44-year-old St Albans woman with a BB gun.

She was taken to hospital to be treated for minor injuries.

Police believe the parties were known to each other.

A 46-year-old Rockbank man was charged with intentionally causing injury, reckless conduct endangering life and prohibited person possessing a firearm.

He was remanded overnight to appear at Melbourne Magistrates Court Thursday, January 12.
