Police have charged a man following the death of a woman in Melton South yesterday afternoon.
The 42-year-old man has been charged with one count of murder.
The charges follow an incident at a Sutherland Avenue property where it is alleged the body of a 38-year-old Melton South woman was found with stab wounds about 1.30pm on September 18.
The Melton South man has been remanded to appear before Melbourne Magistrates’ Court on September 19.
Detectives believe the parties were known to one other and are not looking for anyone else in relation to the incident.
