A man was arrested in Melton following a spate of thefts across the state, including in suburbs within Melton and Moorabool.
Police arrested and charged the 32-year-old Collingwood man in Melton on Wednesday 22 October .
It is alleged he stole a number of items including alcohol, meat, electrical goods, baby formula and tools from a range of commercial businesses in Burnside, Essendon, Maryborough, Epsom, Bendigo, Melton, Dandenong, Narre Warren, Bacchus Marsh, Armstrong Creek, Geelong and Norlane between Friday 8 August and Monday 20 October.
He has been charged with multiple offences, including two aggravated burglary offences and 26 shop theft offences.
He was remanded to appear before the Sunshine Magistrates’ Court on 5 November.
