Major tobacco bust in Bacchus Marsh

Police seized a significant quantity of illicit tobacco in Bacchus Marsh yesterday.

On Wednesday 31 July, more than 12,000 cigarettes, 25 vapes, and a significant quantity of dried loose-leaf tobacco were confiscated from a tobacco store in the town.

Detectives executed a search warrant after receiving intelligence that indicated large amounts of illicit tobacco and cigarettes were being sold on the premises.

The investigation remains ongoing and investigators are appealing to anyone, including store owners and staff, who has information about illicit activity to come forward to police.
