Melton Secondary School has won the latest Squash Victoria competition, bringing home gold.
Year 11 students Ebony and Abby and year 12 student Johnanne, won the Secondary Schools Squash Competition’s senior girls finals earlier this month, beating Templestowe College, 2-1.
For Ebony and Abby, this is their fifth-straight finals win.
Melton Secondary College sports co-ordinator Gerard Darcy said he was proud of the students, who were “all-round sports girls, good at everything”.
“The girls were determined to reverse the results and beat Templestowe College [after losing to them in the first round],” Mr Darcy said. “They were really impressive and determined.”
Mr Darcy said the school promoted a range of sports, encouraging students to try their hand at everything.
