Lights on this winter

Two sporting reserves will have their lights on in the evenings for anyone wanting to keep active in the colder months thanks to Melton council.

The lights at Bridge Road Athletics Track in Strathtulloh will be open Mondays, Wednesday and Friday evenings from 7-9pm.

Brookside Recreation Reserve Synthetic Pitch in Caroline Springs will have its lights on, on Fridays from 6-9pm.

The initiative is part of the council’s aim to increase access to sporting reserves and encourage opportunities for residents to be active, even though it’s dark.

The trial program will run from April 6 to October.

No booking are required for either reserve.
