Dr Lorien Parker has fun down to a science.

The award-winning scientist will be hosting an interactive holiday program next month to give children the chance to learn how their digestive system works and what happens when they get a virus.

The Little Life Lab, a two-week, hands-on science experience that educates children on the world of science and biology, opens daily at Woodgrove Shopping Centre during the July school holidays.

The program involves a series of interactive and educational stations.

The first week’s theme will be Our Amazing Bodies and the second week’s theme will be Protecting our Planet.

“To them, it’s all about having fun and playing, but as scientists we know they are learning at the same time,” Dr Parker said.

Entry costs $2.
