Young leaders from across Victoria will descend on Elaine this week, as part of a camp designed to build networks and inspire.
The camp, run by Youthrive Victoria, is delivered twice a year to help build on existing leadership skills and help grow leaders across rural Victoria.
The program has had more than 350 alumni in recent years, including Bacchus Marsh’s Kitty Robinson who is returning this year as a mentor.
Ms Robinson said the camp had been important for her at a crucial time of her life.
“This program really helped me develop a healthy life perspective at a tough time of transition from school to university,” Ms Robinson said.
“I wish everyone could be exposed to the impact of the program and the ongoing support from Youthrive Victoria.”
The camp is delivered in January and July, and focuses on three pillars: sustainable me; sustainable community; and sustainable environment.
The pillars aim to help youth understand the importance of self-wellbeing and how an individual can support and be supported by their community, working together for the betterment of society and the environment.
The free camp is aimed at young leaders aged 18 to 22.
