It’s been two weeks since the state government reduced the time Victorian’s can receive their second COVID-19 vaccine and a third booster shot to three months.
The latest data from the department of health shows the uptake for booster shots in Melton and Moorabool sits at 20 to 35 per cent.
Postcodes 3337 (which includes Melton, Melton West, Toolern Vale, Harkness and Kurunjang) and 3338 (which includes Eynesbury, Exford, Strathtulloh, Brookfield and Cobblebank) are at 20 to 25 per cent boosted.
In Moorabool shire, postcode 3340 (Bacchus Marsh, Balliang, Parwan, Coimadai, Glenmore and Balliang East) is at 25 to 30 per cent boosted, while postcode 3342 (Ballan, Mount Wallace, Blakeville, Ingliston, Beremboke) is at 30 to 35 per cent.
Meanwhile, the LGA of Melton has recorded 190 new cases in the last 24 hours to midday February 2. Moorabool has recorded just 30.
