Hillside man hit by car

A Hillside man is in hospital after being hit by a car and left left unconscious on the road in St Albans.

Police believe the 41-year-old was hit by a white sedan on Main Road East between Branston Road and Wahgunyah Drive about 4.11am on Tuesday, February 2.

He was located by another driver with serious injuries and emergency services were called.

The man was taken to hospital where he is in a critical but stable condition.

It is believed the vehicle may have damage to the front right bumper, bonnet, and windscreen.

Officers are also appealing for anyone who may have witnessed the collision or motorists in the area at the time with dash cam in their vehicles to come forward.

The investigation remains ongoing.
