Melton residents are being encouraged to apply to be part of a community panel aimed guiding council’s priorities over the next four years.

The panel will comprise 45 locals and will help council review its community vision to make sure it reflects the community’s aspirations.

Mayor Steve Abboushi said input from community members was vital to ensure council got its vision and plans right.

“If you are passionate about your city and would like to learn about key issues, share ideas and provide recommendations, I encourage you to register your interest,” he said.

The panel will meet four times throughout February and March, in-person and online.

Prior knowledge or experience is not required, and upon completion of the panel sessions, participants will receive $400 for their time and input.

Registrations close on Monday, February 3, at 9am.
