Rockbank Primary school celebrated Harmony Day yesterday with colourful outfits and plenty of smiles.
The students were encouraged to come to school wearing traditional dress to represent their family’s culture or an orange outfit, to match the official colour of Harmony Week.
The school also organised a African Drumming activity for the students today.
Harmony Day celebrates diversity, aiming to foster inclusiveness, respect and the idea that people of all different cultures can make a valuable contribution to society.
The official day is a part of Harmony Week, a government initiative from the Department of Home Affairs, which runs annually from the week of March 21.
