Eynesbury residents will be able to turn their clutter into cash while promoting sustainability when the Garage Sale Trail hits town this weekend.
Nearly 50 households will be taking part in the trail which encourages residents to declutter, find treasure and meet their neighbours.
Organiser Tracey Evans said that her love of organising garage sales with others in the community has “exploded” into a bi-annual event.
Cara Kandelaars said she’s clearing out her entire kitchen and will be offering a host of appliances at her sale.
“Two years ago when we moved to Eynesbury we purchased a Thermomix,” Ms Kandelaars said. “The appliances I’m selling at the garage sale have just been sitting in my cupboards
for the entire two years gathering dust.”
Fellow Eynesbury resident Lisa Chapman said she’s taking the opportunity to meet her neighbours and sell off a range of homewares.
The trial kicks off at 8am on Sunday. A map with the sales will be available on the day from each of the homes or from the Farmers Market.
