An out-of-control grassfire is burning at the intersection of Gisborne and Bacchus Marsh roads in Bullengarook, prompting an advice message for residents in Bullengarook, Coimadai, Gisborne and Lerderderg.
The alert was issued at 2.05pm by the Country Fire Authority (CFA).
The fire is travelling in an easterly direction towards Lerderderg State Park. Authorities say there is currently no immediate threat to communities, but residents are urged to stay informed and monitor conditions closely.
Firefighters are attending the blaze, and smoke may be visible from nearby roads and townships.
Residents are asked to keep roads clear to allow emergency services to respond safely and quickly.
The next update is expected by 6.10pm, or earlier if conditions change.
