Two dog owners could breathe a sigh of relief this week after the Moorabool Criminal Investigation Unit reunited them with their missing “fur babies”.
In a post on Facebook, the Moorabool Eyewatch page shared how Detective Whittaker returned staffy Dingas to her owner, Morgan. Dingas went missing from Sunshine over a year ago.
And Greg was “absolutely over the moon” to be reunited with his “best pal” Sammy.
The reunion was made possible due to updated microchipping information and public assistance.
In a post on Facebook, the Moorabool Pet-Adoption page said: “We can not say this enough – keep your pets microchip details up-to-date.
“Thankfully (even after a year had lapsed in which the brindle staffy had gone missing) these two had current details on their microchips and were able to be reunited with their owners.”
A 42-year-old man from Bacchus Marsh has been charged and bailed to attend court at a later date.
