New residents welcome to Diggers Rest fun day

People who have recently moved to Diggers Rest are being urged to get in with the crowd during a community day at the town’s recreation reserve.

Welcome packs, children’s activities, stalls and a barbecue will be on offer as part of the event.

Parents and children can also meet the coaches and managers of Diggers Rest’s junior football and netball teams ahead of the Burras’ 2016 season.

Event spokeswoman Belinda Stillman says it’s a great chance for people to learn more about services and organisations in the growing community.

It’s from 10am-2pm at Diggers Rest Recreation Reserve, Plumpton Road on Sunday, February 7.
