Free SkyBus for veterans and families

SkyBus is offering free travel for veterans, war widows and war widowers for Remembrance Day this year.

The shuttle bus service will offer free travel to the previously mentioned groups across is Melbourne-based airport-to-city express transfer services from 10-12 November.

The free routes include:

Melbourne City Express (Southern Cross Station to/from Melbourne Airport).

Eastern Express (Box Hill, Doncaster, Watsonia to/from Melbourne Airport).

Sunshine Express (Sunshine Station to/from Melbourne Airport).

Peninsula Express (Frankston and bayside suburbs to/from Melbourne Airport).

Kinetic managing director of SkyBus Matthew Campbell said that they are proud to support veterans and their families travelling to commemorate Remembrance Day.

“Remembrance Day is an opportunity for all Australians to honour the service and sacrifice of those who have served our country,” he said.

“It’s a privilege to be able to offer free travel to veterans, war widows and widowers as a small gesture of our gratitude for their service.”

When using SkyBus services, eligible travellers simply need to present their:

DVA gold or white card Veterans Victoria card through the Service Victoria app (Victoria only) War Widows badge, or wear their service medals or ex-service association attire

Eligible passengers can simply board SkyBus services and present their identification to the driver, or a Customer Service Ambassador at the curb.
