Police have arrested four teenagers following an alleged evasion in the western suburbs during the early hours of Friday morning as part of Operation Shows.
Officers caught sight of a blue Saab Tourer allegedly driving erratically in the Wyndham area about 12am on Friday 30 August.
Despite police attempting to intercept the vehicle in the vicinity of Orvalia Road in Manor Lakes, the driver failed to stop.
Police successfully deployed tyre deflation devices at the intersection of Anniversary Avenue and Ballan Road.
The Saab was allegedly dumped on Spearmint Boulevard in Wyndham Vale.
Officers arrested two boys and two girls.
A 16-year-old Cobblebank boy, a 17-year-old Harkness boy and a 16-year-old Manor Lakes girl were spoken to by police and released pending further enquiries.
A 16-year-old Truganina girl was interviewed and released with an intention to be charged on summons for theft and driving offences.
Operation Shows is a regular police operation in the Wyndham area that involves local police working alongside specialist units to patrol car thefts and dangerous driving.
