Footpath mural livens up Melton South

Colourful life has been injected into Melton South’s Station Road.

As part of the Linking Melton South project, residents have created a footpath mural in front of Jack’s Pizza and Om Indian grocery store.

The mural, designed by artist Robert Jackson, is a representation of Toolern Creek.

Linking Melton South, facilitated by Djerriwarrh Health Services (DHS), worked on two other artworks earlier this year.

A “Linkin’ dog” graffiti was painted on the Melton Laundrette wall, while a “Welcome to Melton South” mosaic sign was erected at the corner of Brooklyn and Exford roads.

“This location was selected by the community for beautification as it’s in the heart of Melton South,” said DHS interim chief executive Andrew Freeman of the Station Road mural.

The artwork was officially unveiled on Monday.
