Melton youngsters Ethan and Lily had a ball meeting their local cops, fireys and ambos last week.
As part of the emergency services’ community engagement work, paramedic Katie Cornelius, Senior Constable Matthew Krul and firefighter Ben Wallace visited Goodstart Early Learning centre in Kurunjang last Thursday.
The trio spoke to the children, and their families, about their roles in the community.
“This was about engaging in local communities … just to promote the lighter side of emergency services,” Senior Constable Krul said. “They get to see police without all the doom and gloom of everyday policing roles.
“It’s great to get into the community and have a chat with the public.”
The children took photos with their emergency service heroes and their vehicles.
