Fire destroys house in Rockbank

A house has been left in ruins after a fire broke out at a property on Paynes Road in Rockbank on Monday 5 January.

Firefighters were alerted to the blaze about 5.44am and arrived to find a singl- storey house alight.

Multiple Fire Rescue Victoria (FRV) and Country Fire Authority (CFA) crews from Diggers Rest, Caroline Springs, Melton, and Rockbank attended the blaze with firefighters working to bring the fire under control.

The fire was extinguished, yet the property was destroyed in the blaze.

Fire investigation units are attending the scene to determine the cause.
