Melton will be spreading the festive cheer once again for the country’s largest and longest-running Christmas gift appeal.
Kmart Melton’s Wishing Tree Appeal was launched at Woodgrove Shopping Centre last week.
Local organiser Kerry Healy encouraged shoppers to donate generously to the appeal which helps children, adults, seniors and families who are unable to afford gifts at Christmas and beyond. It has collected more than eight million gifts in the past 29 years.
Anyone can give to the appeal – gifts do not need to be purchased at Kmart and they do not need to be wrapped.
