The Strawberries and Cherries Weekend at Bacchus Marsh is all set to produce a bumper crop of fun next month.
The three-day festival will start on November 17, and organisers are confident attendance will mirror the 17,000 visitors who turned out last year.
Bacchus Marsh Tourism Association secretary Glenda Jones said the “first fruits of spring” weekend was hugely important for tourism in the region.
“It’s not just for the weekend,” she said.
“People who visit for the festival enjoy it so much that they come back and some even stay for much longer.
“We’re so lucky to live in such a beautiful place – just far enough out of the city but with access to everything.”
She said the festival was for tourists – and residents, too.
“The fruit looks good and there’s plenty of sunshine around for this time of year, so we welcome everyone to come and enjoy the festival,” she said.
The weekend celebrates the arrival of the first spring crops, with fresh produce available for purchase along with “pick your own” options.
Other highlights will include a local produce trail, market stalls, a makers market and the Creswick Light Horse Brigade. Details: here
