Major Collision Investigation Unit detectives are investigating the circumstances surrounding a fatal collision in Clarkes Hill on Tuesday, May 2.
It is believed two vehicles collided at the intersection on Ballarat-Daylesford Road and Boundary Church Road about 6.30am.
The male driver and sole occupant of a utility, died at the scene.
He is yet to be formally identified.
The driver of the other vehicle, a wagon, was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries and is assisting police with their enquiries.
