Eynesbury residents will be brimming with Christmas cheer by the 25th after a range of holiday events in the suburb during the weekend before Christmas.

On Saturday, December 10 Join is the Eynesbury Christmas party, with festivities the whole family will love including pony rides, a reindeer farm, an inflatable obstacle course, face painting, a jumping castle, food trucks and live music.

A Christmas Market from 9am Sunday, December 18 will offer a chance for visitors to pick up some last minute gifts and Christmas decorations from local stallholders, there’ll also be photos with Santa, and a Wishing Tree people can leave gifts under that will go to children in need.

Donna Musarella of D-Mus Designs is a regular of the Eynesbury Market, who during the holiday seasons trades her flower arrangements for Christmas wreaths, she said she “loves” the market in the Eynesbury Quarter.

“I like the atmosphere there. It’s very family orientated and the regulars come and see you and say hi all the time, it’s a really nice vibe,” she said.

The same weekend, across December 17 and 18 bright Christmas sights will be on full display for Eynesbury’s Christmas lights competition, where participating homes vie for the honour of best-decorated house.

Eynesbury developer, Resimax Group chief executive Steve Hooker said Christmas is a perfect time of the year to bring the community together.

“Being just 40 minutes from the CBD and with all the great facilities Eynesbury has to offer, it’s

a no-brainer to welcome all of Melbourne and celebrate the festive season together,” he said.

“I’m excited to see all the beautiful Eynesbury homes lit up for the Christmas lights competition

and for the chance to say hello to Rudolf and his friends at the reindeer farm.”
