Events to celebrate kids

Melton youngsters will have plenty to choose from this Children’s Week, with the council hosting a range of free fun activities for kids of all ages.

Children aged 0 to 12 years and their families can enjoy a variety of online activities and workshops during Children’s Week this year – despite COVID-19 restrictions – as part of a national program recognising the talents, skills, achievements and rights of young people.

Melton mayor Kathy Majdlik said the online event would be a celebration of childhood.

“This year has been particularly challenging for children, so these activities are an opportunity for families to have some fun together and celebrate the joy that children bring,” Cr Majdlik said.

Children’s Week runs from Monday, October 25 until Sunday, October 31.
