Jen Ramos turned her latest haircut into an opportunity to teach children a valuable lesson.
The Goodstart Early Learning Melton educator clipped her locks to shoulder length last Wednesday as part of the World’s Greatest Shave – the Leukemia Foundation major fundraiser for its annual appeal.
“I wanted to do it because I wanted to be part of the community support for the Leukemia Foundation,” Ms Ramos said.
“I’ve known a lot of people who have had cancer and … being a person with a lot of hair and good health, I wanted to lend my support.”
She said cutting her hair gave her an opportunity to educate Melton kids about caring for others.
“I want the children to grow with empathy and awareness of other people.”
