Daughters of the West is under way in Melton, with Cobblebank kicking off the 10-week free health and wellness program.

Sessions begun on Tuesday, July 16, at Cobblebank Stadium with women who live or work in the Melton area participating in exercises lead by trained staff.

Mayor Kathy Majdlik said there were many benefits to the program, which caters for a range of abilities.

“Daughters of the West has inspired local women to make healthier changes and improve their lifestyles,” she said.

“It’s a great way to get expert advice and support for improving your health and wellbeing while making some friends along the way.”

In Fraser Rise, sessions run every Wednesday, from 6.30–8.30pm, and take place at Fraser Rise Children’s and Community Centre.

Women of all fitness levels can take part in exercise under the guidance of trained staff.
